– Started playing organized basketball at 5 (in 2000) in Hull/Gatineau (Québec, Can) dominating ABH league U-7 2 yrs older.
– 2000 to 2010 several championships and MVPs in primary/secondary schools and civil leagues in Canada (Gatineau/Quebec and Ottawa/Eastern Ontario) as team Captain, playing/dominating boys two years older leagues.
– 2007 Provincial Quebec Championship Atoms Class A bronze medals (team Captain, led team win)
– 2008 Canadian National Championship 3rd place – Bronze medals – with Team Quebec U-15, while only 13 y/o, youngest
– 2007-2008: started being ranked in Canada as the best PG 2014 and 2nd best overall just behind Andrew Wiggins
– 2008: entered AAU ranks at 13 y/o with Montreal based club Okapi Ballers (actual Nike sponsorized Qc-United) U-15 & U-16 (youngest, played few games with the U-16 squad alongside Kenny Cherry –Baylor, junior-)
– 2009-2010 MVP of Montreal Basketball League varsity AAA (at just 14 y/o, 28.5 PPG, point guard, team Captain)
– 2010 Canadian National Champions – Gold medals – with Team Quebec U-17, while only 15 years old, named in the 2nd All star team (starred with tourney’s MVP Olivier Hanlan –Boston College.
– 2010: Individual workout with the 2 times NBA MVP Steve Nash in Phoenix Suns (AZ, 3 intensive days) after having identified Kevin Zabo and Nik Stauskas respectively as an elite PG and an elite SG prospects out of Canada and invited them.

– 2011: His outstanding year and performance with St. Mark’s helped him make a name for himself in USA right away and be ranked by ESPN in June 2011 as a ESPN Terrific 25, 4 stars, 20th overall, 2nd best PG 2014 just behind Tyus Jones.
– 2011, 2012 and 2013 Nike EYBL (AAU league) with CIA Bounce U16 and U17 (played alongside Anthony Bennett –NBA no. 1 draft pick 2013-, Andrew Wiggins –Kansas, fresh-, Tyler Innes –Syracuse, fresh-; Naz Long –Iowa St., soph.

– 2012-2013 NEPSAC Class AAA Champions with Brewster Academy (starting point guard, then 6th/7th man combo guard, with unfortunate injuries –out 3 weeks with a broken thumb/surgery, a month out with a sprained ankle, a week out with a peritonsillar abscess and surgery-; nevertheless, starred with teammates mentioned above and M. Harrison -UMKC, fresh)
– 2012-2013 National Prep School Championship finalists with Brewster Academy (6th/7th man combo, helped lead team)
– 2013 (August, 10th), committed verbally to SDSU (while offered scholarships by GWU, WVU, Iowa St., Illinois, SDSU, and strong interest from Ohio St., Uconn and others), then signed Letter of Intent in November 2013
– 2013-2014 NEPSAC Class AAA Champions with Brewster Academy (Co-captain, 6th man combo guard, with unfortunate injuries –out two weeks with a hamstring in Dec., then a concussion on Nov. 17th that forced completely out of practice/games for two weeks and to miss NEPSAC AAA ¼, Semi et Finals games-; nevertheless, starred year long with Jarred Terrell –Oklahoma St. 2014 signee-, Isaac Copeland –Georgetown 2014 signee-, Jonah Bolden –UCLA 2014 signee-, Devonte Graham –Appalachian St. 2013 signee-, and junior Class 2015 teammates Jared Reuter and Donovan Mitchell)
– 2013-2014 National Prep School Champions with Brewster Academy (Co-captain, 7th man combo guard, played limited minutes after being medically cleared (from concussion, for a progressive return to sports) just one day before NPS games start;
– 2014 Mcdonald’s All American Games nominee
– Ranked by the end of his outstanding 2010-2011 freshmen year out of St. Mark’s School as a ESPN Terrific 25, a 4 stars, 20th overall and the 2nd best by position as PG in his Class 2014 just behind Tyus Jones, he’s finishing his senior year as a 3 stars, 39th by position -ESPN Jan 2014- coming out of Brewster Academy with two consecutive NEPSAC Class AAA Championships (2012-2013 and 2013-2014) and the National Prep School Championship 2013-2014
– Scheduling to attend SDSU summer school in June 2014, to get started with his 2014 NCAA Division I top 13 team SDSU Aztecs, as a PG ready to compete for all and to do anything it takes to show, as Head coach Steve Fisher expects and described (Nov. 13th 2013 Conference press), that: “He (Kevin Zabo) can run a team, but he can also play off the ball. He’s a point guard that could be a combo guard. He’s got size and strength and is a very intelligent floor leader”.
