Cleveland State Secures Richardson Maitre
Premier Brookwood Elite 2016 Point Guard Off The Board
After an impressive showing in a number of high level showcases this summer, Richardson Maitre has decided where he will take his talents next.
The 6’2 do-it all type of point guard with an already elite defensive ability, has pledged allegiance to Cleveland State.
Maitre averaged 13.9 points per game with an 18:10 assist to turnover ratio in the Adidas Gauntlet in Atlanta travelling AAU with Brookwood Elite. A 2016 bunch that finished consecutive summers in the Adidas Elite Eight, both with Maitre as quarterback,.
Maitre chose the Cleveland State Vikings over NMSU, Middle Tennessee State, Sam Houston State and UTEP. Maitre also joins fellow Montreal, QC native Daniel Levitt (6-1 freshman) in Ohio.
Vikings in the Horizon League finished 11-5 in their conference and 19-15 overall in 2014-15.
