Kitchener, ON native snaps and shoots 13/21 on the night.

Jamal Murray  scored a career-high 35 points, and No. 20 Kentucky beat Florida 80-61 on Saturday. Murray, a freshman guard from Kitchener, Ont., said having his parents in the stands provided a boost.

“It was good to have them here,” he said. “It’s good to be open-minded and calm. They helped get me here. There was no reason to feel pressure.”

Murray’s previous career high was 33 points in a 74-67 loss to Ohio State on Dec. 19 in the CBS Sports Classic.

“This is the way I should have been shooting all season,” Murray said. “Now I just have to keep it going.”
